men's ministry at oakwood

The Men's Ministry at Oakwood Community Church exists to help men know Christ and grow in their faith. We do this through men's small group Bible studies, as well as occasional events, retreats and service projects.

2017 men's spring retreat

Join us for a great weekend of fun, connecting and growth as the men of Oakwood head to New Life Camp in Rose City, Michigan from May 19-21, 2017.  The weekend retreat will feature enthusiastic worship, encouraging messages, authentic fellowship, spiritual development, relevant and real-life application, great times, and good memories!  We will eat great food - including bacon & making your own steak!  There are a variety of activities available, including fishing, shooting, paintball, a ropes course, sports in the gym, ATV trails, chess, euchre, fun tournaments, and more!  Or you can choose to use some free time to get some extra rest.

Click here for a Men's Retreat Flyer (PDF) that you can print or share with others.

The cost for the retreat is $85.00 per person.  Registration and money is due by Sunday, April 30th. You can register and pay at the church, or use the link below to register and pay online using your DEBIT card.  If you have any questions, please contact Mark Rodela or Pastor Don Jackson.

men's ministry leader

My wife, Kim, and I have been attending Oakwood faithfully since 2008. We have been married since 1993 and have three wonderful children: Colton, Gabrielle and Noah. I have served on the missions committee and as deacon in years past and currently serve with the friendship team, tech team, men’s ministry and as an elder. I work as a CMM programmer and enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, going on dates with my wife and spending time with the kids. I hope to graduate from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies in 2017.
