SoulFire STUDENT Ministry

SoulFire Student Ministry is for all students from 7th to 12th grade and meets at Oakwood on Sundays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (check calendar for specific dates). This year our cafe nights will be once a month on Saturday nights (and 6th grade students are invited to join us for these!). Our goal is to offer a place for students to come together and learn that they are not alone and that there is a God who not only loves them but will always be there for them. We regularly teach Biblical messages on topics that are relevant to students' lives. Our team of adult volunteers love students, listen to them and enjoy spending time with them. We want to encourage students to pursue a stronger relationship with God, and learn to follow His plan for their lives.

Throughout the year we host a number of events and take students on retreats such as Camp Barakel, Acquire the Fire, and Awaken. We also work with the students to serve our community and participate in mission trips. Check back here often for the latest news on upcoming events or service opportunities.

  • camp barakel Winter Retreat

    February 17-19, 2017

Every year we go to Camp Barakel in Fairview, MI for our winter retreat. This year we will be going on February 17-19th, which is also the weekend of "mid winter break" for Brandon & Oxford Schools, so students will not have school the Monday that we return.  Because of the popularity of that weekend, we have limited space!!   THE FIRST 40 STUDENTS TO REGISTER ARE GUARANTEED SPOTS! After that, we cannot guarantee a spot, it will be based on availability! Deposits & Registration forms are due by Sunday, October 2nd.  Download the Camp Barakel Registration Form.
