this week at oakwood

When we launched two Sunday morning services at Oakwood in the fall of 2017, we also started a new process for weekly updates. We don't do live announcements on Sunday mornings during the services. Instead we film weekly update videos that we can send out via email, social media and our website.  We also show them before the 9am and 11am worship services begin at the church each week.  Watch these short videos each week to keep up-to-date about what's happening in the Oakwood Community Church family.

  • Membership sunday

    sunday, august 25th

Becoming a member at Oakwood is about making a commitment to follow Christ together with a local community of believers. We exist to help people know Christ and grow in their faith. Membership isn’t about being exclusive; it’s joining together with other believers to worship, grow in our faith, and reach our community for Christ. If you consider Oakwood to be your home church, we encourage you to demonstrate your commitment to the Lord and His church by taking the step of membership.

If you are interested in membership, call the church office at 248-628-6388.

  • Baptism

    Sunday, August 25th

Baptism is an outward sign of your decision to follow Christ. It is a public declaration of your faith in Christ and your decision to live for Him. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion at Oakwood and it is one of the requirements for membership. If you are interested in being baptized, call the church office at 248-628-6388.
