Men's Ministry at Oakwood

The Men's Ministry at Oakwood Community Church exists to help men know Christ and grow in a relationship with Him and other men. We do this through men's small group Bible studies, as well as occasional events, retreats and service projects.

All men (9th grade & up) are invited to join us for the Call of Duty Men's Event at Emmanuel Flint on Friday, February 7, 2025. We will meet here at Oakwood at 5:15pm. If you are interested, stop by the Oak on Sunday morning to sign up. Tim May is the point person.

Saturday, February 22nd
9am @ Oakwood Community Church

Bring any food dish with bacon as an ingredient to share with about 40 men. Best Bacon Contest with traveling trophy up for grabs! Come enjoy the bacon but stay for the preaching of God's Word! Great opportunity to grow your faith while getting to know other men. All men (9th grade & up) are invited.

Men's Ministry Events

Here are some of the typical events hosted throughout the year by our Men's Ministry to encourage men in their faith and help them connect with one another.

Bacon & Bible
During the Fall, Winter & Spring we host Bacon & Bible special events. Men come together have some fun, be encouraged by biblical message, as well as enjoy great food from an ongoing bacon-themed cooking competition.
Men's Retreat
A purposeful weekend at a camp in Michigan, providing men an opportunity to get away to slow down, have some fun, pursue God and recharge spiritually.
Grill & Chill
Different men host us at their homes during summer for Grill & Chill, where guys can enjoy a meal, hang out and be encouraged spiritually.
