Good Friday at Oakwood

Hello Great Family,

I hope you have been listening to the worship music that we will be singing this Holy weekend.  My prayer is that you will sing out with all of your heart.  It will be easier if you are listening to the songs ahead of time.  Get ready...your in the band!

On Good Friday, Rabbi Jerry will be presenting, "The Messiah In The Passover".  This is a 45-min. presentation that provides an explanation of the first Passover (when God freed the Israelites out of the land of Egypt), Passover and the relationship with the Last Supper, and how the Passover is still being celebrated today.  The presentation is a very interesting with lots of visuals to help explain the fact that Jesus is the promised Messiah.

We will be providing a standard honorarium for Rabbi Jerry but we will also be receiving a "Love Offering" from people in attendance to encourage our speaker and the ministry of Congregation Shema Yisrael.  This offering would be over and above your regular tithes and offerings.  Come prepared if you choose to give.

The entire Good Friday service should be about 1 hour long. We will also have worship music and communion for your participation.  Childcare is not provided but we encourage you to bring your children with you to participate in the service.  Please be inviting friends, family and coworkers with you to both our Good Friday service and Easter Morning.  We are anticipating a great weekend!  See you tomorrow.
