Hello Great Family,

Thank you for the kindness and generosity during “Pastor Appreciation Month”.  I am blessed to be part of such a great church family and honored to be your pastor.  The best way you can encourage and show your appreciation is to be actively participating in the body of Jesus at Oakwood.  Attend, Serve, Care, Give and be everything God has called you to be for His church. This is what warms my heart and energizes me to keep pressing on and it validates for me the love you have for our great family.  Thanks for being you!

Also, thanks for making our “Mount Candy” grow for our Harvest Festival event!  Now we need you to step up and serve.  We have a goal of having 50 trunks for our Trunk or Treat, but we currently have 31 spots reserved.  I’m praying that we will reach our goal.  If you haven’t signed up yet, please sign up this Sunday at the “Oak”.  We need you!

I encourage you to attend this Sunday for some very important information.  We will have a “Fireside Chat” moment during each of the services.  The plan is to reveal the name of our new Assistant Pastor, celebrate the new sign, and encourage participation in our annual Harvest Festival event.  Be informed, celebrate God’s goodness, and then get involved!

We will be looking at Ephesians 4:7-16 during the sermon portion of our worship service.  Please read this passage before Sunday morning.  I look forward to being together on Sunday and to worship our great God with you!
