Hello, Oakwood family! 

I hope you are enjoying some of this beautiful sunshine today. Something that is on my heart today is encouraging you to connect with a small group at Oakwood. As we begin a new season, it is a good time to evaluate where you stand with being in a small group. It is SO important to come on Sunday for collective worship and teaching, but it is also IMPORTANT to connect to a small group at Oakwood.

Why?

1. Small groups are the perfect place to pray with and for others.
2. Small groups are the perfect place to share one another’s burdens. Galatians 6:2
3. Small groups are the perfect place to experience authentic relationships as followers of Christ.
4. Small groups are the perfect place to study His Word and to be in prayer, we do this individually but we are also to do it in community.
5. Small groups are the perfect place to become better servants of the Lord by developing skills in leadership and ministry.
6. Small groups are the perfect place to be discipled and make disciples. Matthew 28:18-20
7. Small groups are the perfect place to put into practice the teaching you are receiving from Oakwood Community Church.

I also would like to start more community small groups over the next year but I am needing people willing to be trained to lead/facilitate a group (I will provide support for study helps, etc.). Also, we are looking for people to partner with a leader and host a group of people (10-12 adults- weekly or bi-weekly) at your house. Contact me if you are interested in leading, hosting or connecting in a group.
