Don Jackson was introduced as Oakwood's new Lead Pastor in March of 2015 after months of prayer. Don (a.k.a. "PD") is a dynamic, enthusiastic leader, with a proven record of relational ministry balanced in outreach and discipleship with the goal of developing disciples who are passionate and obedient followers of Jesus. He has been serving in ministry in a variety of roles for over 25 years, including 20 years in pastoral ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. He graduated with his Bachelor of Religious Education from Cornerstone University in 1990, and received a Master of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible Seminary at Clarks Summit University in 2013.
Don and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 25 years and have three adult children: Caitlin, Emily, and Joshua.
