Hello Great Family,
On Friday, we remembered the life of Susan Chesnutt. Wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her husband, Randy, asked me to share the verse Joshua 24:15, "Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Sue made her choice to follow and serve Jesus.
At her service I shared the message that Jesus gave at His friends funeral. I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26). In this passage Jesus asks life's ultimate question, "Do you believe this?". I want to ask you life's ultimate question, "Do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah, God's Son, sent to save sinners by defeating sin and death by the cross and empty tomb? Every person needs to answer this ultimate question. Then we make a choice to follow and serve Him with our whole lives (Living Sacrifices).
What is your answer to life's ultimate question? (Do you believe?) What is your choice about what to pursue? (Choose you this day) Our choices have eternal consequences. Choose wisely!
If you're in town this weekend, I strongly encourage you to attend our Sunday service at 11am. There will only be one service this Sunday at 11am. All the children's ministries will be operating during the 11am service. Please be warm and welcoming to my friend, Wally Rose, who is speaking this Sunday. He will preach the word and also present his local jail ministry. I believe there might be some of you who are called and gifted for serving with Wally in this ministry opportunity.
Please be diligent in promoting our Easter services! Our Easter series starts one week from this Sunday. There is still time to hand out some invite cards. Don't forget to write the names of the people you intend to invite on our "Easter Invite Wall" this Sunday (it will be gone by the following Sunday).
God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
