Hello Great Family,
I'm hoping this actually reaches you today and does not disappear into cyberspace.
Today feels like fall is in the air. Melisa and I were just talking about the end of summer and the start of a new season. Neither one of us was willing to let go of summer yet. We just want a few more warm, sunny days with the smell of fresh cut grass and the sound of crickets chirping in the cool evenings.
Regardless of our wants and desires, seasons come and seasons go. Next on our calendar is fall... the start of school and all the business that comes with a full schedule, and older students heading back to college. As you transition into the next season, here is what is happening at your church:
Please be sure to mark your calendars! We want you around here... Actually, we need you around here! You are the growing, great family of Oakwood. Engage with us to be grounded in faith, growing in grace and going in love!
This Sunday we will be looking at Romans 15:14-33. Take time to read this Scripture before Sunday. At 6pm Sunday night we have a local group of college age students leading a "Worship Night" for High School students, College age students and young adults. Feel free to join us even if your just "young at heart".
God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
