Hello Great Family,

It has begun! We have started into our Christmas schedule at Oakwood.  We have so many great opportunities for you and for anyone you invite to attend.  My one request... make the most out of every opportunity! Please don't miss what matters most this wonderful season.

  • Christmas Series - "What God Wants For Christmas"  Instead of the focus being on us and what we want for Christmas, we are going to focus on what God wants for Christmas. Attend on Sundays at 9am or 11am.
  • Oakwood Cares Offering - Our one time a year offering to fund our opportunity to minister to people in our community.  You can give in person through December 17th by using the designated giving envelope or online through December by selecting "Oakwood Cares" from the drop down box.
  • Christmas Eve Candlelight - Make plans to participate at either 11am or 2pm.  This service has it all... worship, drama, live nativity, special music, singing in candlelight. You are encouraged to invite people to attend with you. Start making plans to participate and invite people now.
  • New Year Celebration - We start a new annual event this year on Saturday, December 30th from 5:30pm - 8pm.  This year it will be a Dinner & Comedy Show featuring "Rodney" the magician and comedian. Tickets are available at the Oak or online for $20 a person.  Childcare is available for newborns to 5th graders. It is important to get your tickets soon so plans can be finalized.
  • State of the Church - On Sunday, December 31st the great family at Oakwood will gather for one service at 11am to remind ourselves of our purpose as a church.  We will bring in new members and celebrate communion.  Truly a special service for our great family.

So much to look forward to.  But the important ingredient for each and every opportunity is YOU!  We need your participation and look forward to serving with you.
