Hello Great Family,

We are currently in a sermon series going through our Mission Statement (PODCAR) as a church.  It is important and mission critical that you know why Oakwood exists and what we are attempting to accomplish.  Knowing is step one.  Accepting the challenge and working with us to achieve an effective outcome is step two.

OUR MISSION

MULTIPLY Christ-like DISCIPLES who are:

PASSIONATE about their God,                     

OBEDIENT to God’s Word,                            

DEPENDENT on God through prayer,  

CONNECTED to one another,                      

AUTHENTIC and 

RELEVANT in their witness

We have finished covering the first three points.  This week we will be talking about the fourth point, "Connected to one another".  Romans 12:5 says, "so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."  You belong and I belong to the Body of Christ!  It is nice to belong!  No, it is essential that we "belong".  We belong to each other in a beautiful relationship marked by love and acceptance.  I encourage you to participate with us in worship this Sunday.  One of the crucial aspects of belonging is showing up.
