Hello Great Family,

Thank you!  Those two words can't quite capture the gratitude Julie and I have in our hearts for the special day of appreciation you showered us with last Sunday.  The presentation Roger Sovis gave was a great reminder of how good God has truly been to Oakwood and to the Jackson family. It was great to have another pastor who gets me and understands the blessings and struggles of ministry. Wally Rose preached a wonderful message that both challenged and encouraged. Both Julie and I were grateful to have the Elders pray over us.

Finally, the gift of a trip out west was very generous! Julie and I have been planning ever since we got home Sunday. We are excited to have two weeks this August to explore, adventure and rest.  Thank you for the extravagant love shown to us. Thank you! Thank you!!

It has been an honor to serve as your pastor for the past ten years. Oakwood is a great church. We are growing a great family - Grounded in Faith, Guided by Grace, and Going in LOVE! I am confident we have what it takes to overcome any trial and to be effective in every circumstance. May God continue to bless His church.

This Sunday, at both 9am & 11am, we will begin a new series in the book of Acts called, "God's Presence, Power, and People in an Upside Down World".  The goal this Sunday is to introduce the book of Acts and to cover chapter one.  Please consider reading Acts 1 in preparation before the service Sunday.
