Hello Great Family,
We talked about the importance of being "Connected To One-Another" last Sunday. Are you connected? We emphasized the importance of attending church but there is way more to connection than just attending services. Are you connected outside of the one service on Sundays? There are lots of ways to get involved at Oakwood. You can serve in a ministry, join a small group, participate in projects (currently doing "Bottles for Babies" to support the Oxford Pregnancy Center), attend events (like the Superbowl Party this Sunday!).
I encourage you to attend this Sunday. We will be covering the last statement on our Mission Statement, "Authentic & Relevant in our witness". Come learn why and how we can be effective in sharing the Gospel. Practice last weeks message by attending this weeks service.
This Sunday evening our Connections Team is hosting a Superbowl Party. It is free! Just bring a snacky, Superbowl food to share (Wings, pizza, pigs in a blanket, chips and dips, veggie tray, fruit tray, etc.). We will provide beverages. Come even if you don't care about either team or football in general. We are hosting this event "SO THAT" we can share time together (and good food). Get connected, Stay connected, Be the connection!
God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
