Hello Great Family,

Your Oakwood Student Ministries had a wonderful winter retreat at Camp Barakel last weekend.  Our goal for the weekend was to grow closer to Jesus and each other.  Goal accomplished!  Our students are developing disciples of Jesus and growing in a relationship with one another. I'm proud of these students and it is a joy to serve as the Director of Student Ministries for this season.  I am also very thankful for the several adult volunteer staff that serve alongside with Julie and I in this ministry.  Oakwood is very blessed!

I trust you enjoyed hearing from one of our missionaries and good friend to Oakwood - Jeff Totten.  We appreciate Jeff and his ministry.  Continue to pray for his effectiveness and strength to serve.

This Sunday, the great family at Oakwood has the opportunity to hear our own Pastor Ted Jones preach.  He will be continuing his series in the book of James.  Come participate in worship and support the ongoing ministry of Oakwood Community Church.

On Sunday, March 10th at 4pm we will be having a special one hour installation service for Pastor Ted.  We have invited some of his mentors and friends to come speak a blessing into his life and ministry.  After the service, we will have a cake fellowship with some time to welcome and encourage Pastor Ted in his ongoing ministry at Oakwood.  We are expecting several of Pastor Ted and Jen's friends to attend so come welcome them and show them the best of the great family at Oakwood.

The Jackson's welcome your prayers as we get away for a one week vacation with family.  We are looking forward to some much needed rest and time with our loved ones.  We will see you next Sunday!
