Hello Great Family,

Here comes another special weekend at Oakwood Community Church.  We will be celebrating God bringing Pastor Ted Jones to our Pastoral staff.  The great family of Oakwood is blessed to have Pastor Ted and Jen Jones here at our church.  They come to Oakwood with a depth of ministry experience and have already made a positive impact.

This Sunday, we are going to have an official installation service at 4pm.  The service will last for one hour and will include worship, messages from two of Pastor Ted's long-time friends and mentors, and a time of prayer delivered by our Elders.  After the service, we will enjoy a time of connectivity during a cake fellowship.  Plan on joining us for this important and encouraging time for Oakwood Community Church.

Also, this Sunday starts our Easter sermon series called, "Made New".  It will be a four-week, Gospel centered opportunity for people to hear the good news of God's provision for our Salvation.  We are also having a Good Friday service on March 29th.  Messianic Jewish Rabbi Jerry from Congregation Shema Yisrael will be with us to present, "The Messiah in the Passover".  This is a 45 minute presentation that explains the first Passover, how the Passover relates to the Last Supper, and how the Passover is still being celebrated today.  Please pray with me that God's message will reach hearts and that lives will be changed.  You can also help by helping us promote this series by sharing the social media posts from Oakwood and handing out the printed invitation cards.  Participate with us in making this opportunity effective in the hearts and lives of people.
