Hello Great Family,

It has become noticeable that my recent back injury has had a discouraging effect at Oakwood.  I know I am not able to do everything that I have been doing until there is improvement in my current situation.  Too many things have needed nurturing and promotion. This means that our Oakwood family needs you to step up like never before.  Here are some current immediate needs we need your help with:

  • Three new servants for the Child Care Nursery team. (Critical…Urgent)
  • Two new servants for the Child Care Toddler team. (Critical…Urgent)
  • Several adult & teen servants for Family Night Treehouse ministry. (Necessary)
  • Children signed up for the next Treehouse session starting this Wednesday.
  • Adults signed up for Family Night Equipping Groups starting this Wednesday.

We also need your involvement and help promoting several opportunities:

  • Friday, April 15th – Good Friday service at 12pm.  Worship, Communion, and a Message from a friend we lovingly refer to as… “D&D” (message portion not be livestreamed)
  • Sunday, April 17th – Easter services at 9am & 11am.  Gospel message, “The Savior Who Stands”.  This is also “Picture Day”.  Family Easter photos available for free!!
  • Saturday, April 23rd – Music Fest Benefit for House of Providence (1pm – 3:30pm)
  • Saturday, May 14th – Home Plate Tiger Baseball Game Outreach (11am leaving church) Tickets cost $32 – First 30 people signed up get transportation provided! Sign up at Oak.

Remember, a personal invitation is the best promotional tool for any of these opportunities.  Please go out of your way to bring someone with you…it might just change a life!!

I trust you have been enjoying our Easter series, “Jesus Is…”.  We have learned about the “Son Who Sleeps”, the “Rescuer Who Rests”, and the “Shepherd Who Serves”.  This week we will be taking a look at the “Deliverer Who Dies” in Mark 15.  Please make it a priority to join us for our only service at 11am.
