Hello Great Family,

Thank you to everyone who helped and participated in our Worship in the Park event last weekend.  It is a lot of work and effort to make that opportunity available in our community and I am grateful for a church who steps up to the challenge.  The best part…the name of Jesus was praised and proclaimed in our town!

Now that we are in the month of September, it is time to start getting specific and strategic about the Franklin Graham outreach event on September 29th.  Pick up your planning bookmark this Sunday and begin listing family, friends, and others that you know need to hear the Gospel message and receive Jesus as their personal Savior.  I encourage you to participate with us by using the “Prayer Guide” tool every day until the event.

Don’t forget the Dr. T.A. Nalian Remembrance Walk fundraiser for Stand Ministries on Saturday, September 17th 11am – 3pm at 400 6th St, Rochester, MI 48307.  Oakwood loves and supports Stand Ministries!  I’m wearing my shirt this Sunday!

Hope you have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful holiday weekend with your family and friends. Praying that you will rest and be rejuvenated heading into the fall season.  If you are around home this weekend, plan to attend worship at Oakwood at 10am.  We will gather to praise Jesus together and hear God’s Word preached.  I will be teaching from Romans 5:6-21.  Please take the time to read this passage before gathering on Sunday.  We will wait to celebrate communion next Sunday, September 11th at both the 9am and 11am services.  See you this Sunday at 10am!!
