Hello Great Family,

This Sunday is "Missions Sunday" and it's going to be GREAT!! I will be presenting a short message on the importance of "Glocal (yes...I spelled it right!) Missions" ( Worship and a short message will be livestreamed) then we will hear a live report from our own sent ones...we refer to them as Oakwood's D&D missionaries.  They will make a general presentation on Sunday (this will not be livestreamed) and invite you to a special event this Tuesday evening to hear more and ask questions.

Here is how they recently promoted this opportunity...

We wanted to personally invite you to Oakwood Community Church this Sunday Morning and Tuesday Evening for a chance to hear an update from our family.

On Sunday, October 9 at both the 9 am and 11 am services, we will take a portion of the service to update our church about our ministry. We will be available after each service to answer questions and talk. 

If you cannot make it Sunday morning, we will have a dessert reception on Tuesday, October 11 at 6:30 pm. Pie, coffee, and tea will be available. Feel free to invite friends or family that may want to hear more about global missions. This will be less formal than Sunday morning, and an opportunity to hear stories and ask questions.

I encourage you to attend both Sunday and Tuesday to support and encourage our D&D missionaries.  Gospel Urgency translates into thriving participation in Oakwood's Glocal Missions!
