Hello Great Family,

Snow is on the ground... Chill is in the air... Christmas music is on...  Red Cups are out at Starbucks...  It is officially the HOLIDAYS!

Last week I laid out our plans for the holiday season during a "fireside" chat.  We are hoping you will fully participate in every opportunity.   Sign-up this week to participate in our church family gift exchange.  Our annual Pie, Prayer, Praise event is this Tuesday, November 22 at 6:30pm (just bring a pie to share).  Our Oxford Remembrance Prayer Vigil is on Wednesday, November 30th at 5:45pm.

This Christmas will be great at Oakwood!  Our series called, "The Gift Exchange" begins Sunday, December 4th.  Please invite people to come!  The big emphasis will be on our two Christmas services on Saturday, December 24th at 2pm & 4pm.  This Christmas Eve Candlelight service is an annual favorite!  Start making plans to bring someone with you this year.  On Christmas day you can gather your family to watch a special 30 minute Christmas church service provided online.  You have many opportunities to invite people to join Oakwood this holiday season.  Make the most of these opportunities!

Our annual "Oakwood Cares" offering will be collected on Sunday, December 18th and the week leading up to that date online.  This offering becomes the funds we use for helping people in our community.  We help with needs like housing, food, clothing, funerals, medical bills, emergencies, etc.  Our goal is to collect $20,000 each year for these special needs.  May God bless this ministry!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday as we tackle the hard passage of Romans 8:28-30.  Praying for unity and God's blessing on His people as we navigate through topics that have divided believers for generations.
