Hello Great Family,
It's Christmas time!! It's finally here!! We can listen to Christmas music without being judged. We can put lights up everywhere. We can eat cookies and goodies free from guilt... well, at least two out of three is not bad.
Here are some things to know about Christmas at Oakwood:
- The Christmas series is called, "The Gift Exchange" and it starts this Sunday! Help us get the word out by posting an invitation on social media.
- We start singing Christmas music this Sunday! Here are some of our songs you should be listening to ahead of time - Christmas Day by Chris Tomlin; Joy To The World (Unspeakable Joy); Come Thou Long Expected Jesus by Meridith Andres; Light Of The World by We The Kingdom; It's Christmas Medley by Chris Tomlin; The King Has Come by Kristian Stanfill; Noel by Lauren Daigle; along with traditional Christmas hymns
- This Sunday is the first opportunity to pick up you name for the Oakwood Family Gift Exchange. If you forgot to sign up... drop everything and call the church right now! Melisa is preparing the name envelopes and we want to include you! Stop by the Oak on Sunday to pick up a families name.
One more thing not related to Christmas. We need 6 to 8 servants to sign up for the "People Feeding People" ministry at the United Methodist Church downtown Oxford on Saturday, December 10th (8:45am - 10:30am). Anyone can serve...families, singles, couples. Sign up at the Oak on sunday or call the church to get on the list of servants for that day.
Thank you for being part of the great family at Oakwood! We need you around here and we love having you in the family!
God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
