Hello Great Family,

I trust you are enjoying this wonderful season with family and friends.  Don't forget to share it with your church family too!  It is encouraging to see everyone each Sunday and to worship together as the great family at Oakwood.

This Sunday we will be looking at verses 22-23 in the book of Jude.  Specifically answering the question: "What should I do about false teaching and those who are getting dragged the wrong way?"  This will also be Cole Moore's last Sunday as Oakwood's Youth Ministry Intern.  We are planning to bless him with a "Love Offering" as he heads back to Cornerstone University to finish his last year of ministry preparation.  There will be a box in the Lobby clearly labeled, "Cole Love Offering".  We plan to total the gifts given online and everything in the box and send Cole off with a financial blessing.  Please consider what you can do that is over and above your normal tithes and offerings.

We need people to sign up this Sunday to serve at our upcoming S.O.S. (Serving Our Savior) event on Saturday, August 17th.  We plan to meet at House of Providence (3791 Barber Rd. Oxford) at 9am that day to do some outdoor work on the property.  Those who sign up will receive more information about what to bring and the specific jobs we need to accomplish.

Thank you church!  I pray you are taking advantage of the opportunity to serve alongside some wonderful people.  Not only do we need you but you also need us.  Together we serve, love, worship, and grow.  Let's GO church!!
